Attractive album of architectural photographs, predominantly of ancient Greek architecture and ruins, but also including complementary images from Europe.

The album highlights significant public buildings from Athens, including the Parthenon, the Temples of Jupiter and Bacchus, and the Theatre of Dionysus Eleuthereus, one of the most important ancient Greek ampitheatres. Included are close-ups of particularly fine examples of statues, columns and friezes belonging to these buildings.

The European photographs, too, feature places of worship, including Rouen Cathedral, France, The Selimiye Mosque (Cathedral of St. Sophia), Cyprus, and Gloucester Cathedral, England. Additionally they include views of Kenilworth and Warwick castles. Also of note are two high contrast photographs of the Alps, featuring Alpine travellers posed with walking equipment and pipes.
