Lucy Helen Muriel Soulsby (1856 –1927) was a British headmistress of Oxford High School for Girls. She notably opposed women's suffrage.
First edition; 8vo (226 x 147 mm); foxing to blank preliminary and terminal leaves, otherwise some very minor, light spotting to a few peripheral edges towards the rear, else very good; contemporary full green morocco by Birdsall, Northampton gilt embossed to upper dentelle), decorative gilt panels, gilt laurel wreath enclosing the initials of O.L.W., marbled endpapers and all edges gilt, rubbed, a fw superficial scratches, offsetting to endpapers, otherwise a very good, attractive copy.
