First edition in this form; 8vo (200 X 125 mm); colour frontispiece, decorative title-page, a further 22 colour plates, text leaves browned (as usual) and spotted with a couple of spots to the frontispiece tissue-guard, the odd, light spot from the the fore-edge to a few margins, closed tears to blank corner or margin of p. 127 & 235,, roughly cut edges to pp 313 & 315 (all from being erroneously cut during printing); publisher's light blue cloth, sumptuously gilt panelled to upper cover and spine, top edge gilt and others untrimmed. lightly dust-soiled with some minor marks, more evident to rear board, otherwise very good.
