Frankfurt, Hauser Press, [Circa 1930]
This lovely set of 1930s automobile designs were made to celebrate Clärenore Stinnes' pioneering around-the-world tour (1927-9), conducted in an Adler Standard 6 automobile. Each of the images depicts a different new Adler and they are each accompanied by vignettes of different subjects which tie in with design.
Oblong portfolio (33 x 42 cm); 14 loose lithographs by Georg Johann Köhler, title-page with introduction; in excellent condition; in contemporary cloth boards with silver raised relief art deco papier maché design of Adler logo and orange linen. Slight wear to boards.
