Antisemitic Nazi propaganda children's book, published by Julius Streicher's Sturmer publishing company in 1936.
Luridly illustrated, it shows stereotypically ugly-looking Jews compared to idealistically-looking Aryans involved in various cautionary tales, written in rimes. The 18-years old author, Elvira Bauer, was a kindergarten teacher. Illustrations by Philipp Rupperecht, a caricaturist known mainly for his antisemitic caricatures published in 'Der Stürmer' under the pseudonym Fips.
First edition. Rectangular 4to (); publishers linen-backed broads illuminated in colour, very slightly rubbed; red and black German Gothic text (Sütterlinschrift) with facing colour plates (21 colour lithographs), red edges, clean leaves with occasional very minor foxing, a near-fine copy; [22 ll.].
