The second edition of 'Nightwood' includes an introduction by T.S Eliot. He praised it 'for it's great achievement of style, the beauty of phrasing, the brilliance of wit and characterisation, and a quality of horror and doom very nearly related to Elizabethan tragedy.'

The German language edition is an essay by Barnes about the role of women in society
