One of the best-known works by the eminent geographer, mathematician, and divine. Wells was one of the most accurate map-makers of his day. The New Testament volume has maps and views of Chios, Smyrna, Rhodes, Mitylene, etc.
First edition of first work; second edition of second work; 4 volumes, 8vo, complete with 13 maps and 37 engraved plates (many folding), large folding plate of Solomon's Temple frayed at fore-edge and with tear, plate at page 76, vol. ii browned, contemporary panelled calf, spines richly gilt, light wear, to extremities, a very good set.
