Australian-born Frank Knight (b. 1941) is one of the leading ornithological illustrators of our time. As well as the present work he also illustrated a field guide to the birds of Australia.
37 original watercolours (sheet size: 62 x 45) on Arches paper, all but the cover design signed and dated within the image, tissue-guards, descriptive letterpress tipped to verso of sheets, loose letterpress description; loose in 2 green cloth solander boxes, red morocco labels to upper covers, occasional residue to margins, otherwise fine.
