4to (34.5 x 26 cm); richly illustrated with 20 colour chromolithograph full-page plates including frontispiece, additional illuminated title, 7 maps and plans of the Holy Land, the New Testament with divisional title-page, partially complete family register, tissue guards, occasional spotting and browning, the odd marginal tear but without loss; black morocco, fielded relief in gilt to upper panel, gilt spine, brass edges and clasps, all edges gilt.
