Author's presentation copy. With the author's signed presentation inscription to the title page, 'To Harold Jeffrey Archer'. The recipient was Harold Henry Sebag-Montefiore, lawyer, politician and friend of Archer's. One might imagine genuine presentation copies of Archer's work to be common on the market, but in our experience copies with proper associations are scarce.

First edition, first impression, inscribed by the author; 8vo; pages a little toned as usual; publisher's black boards, titles to spine in silver, pictorial endpapers, with the dust jacket. A very good copy in the dust jacket with a short snag at the top of the spine panel.
