8vo (19 x 13 cm); edited with textual notes by Thomas Hutchinson, M.A., frontispiece of the author from a painting by Miss Curran, very small closed tear to p.11 (approx. 1cm), occasional small spot or mark, else very good condition; contemporary quarter vellum over brown boards lined in gilt, gilt crest to upper board, black morocco lettering piece to spine with gilt decoration and lettering, top edge gilt, some minor signs of wear, primarily to extremities, light soiling to spine, else very good; [xxiv], 912pp.
