Originally intended as parts II & III of Wyndham Lewis' The Childermass (1928), these continuations of his wilfully experimental novel of "theological science fiction" were only finished after the BBC produced a successful dramatisation of The Childermass and promised to make similar productions for the other parts if they were completed. Scarce in such condition.
First edition, 8vo, original pictorial cloth, minor marking, dust-jacket with design by Michael Ayrton, later price-sticker to inside front flap, neat tape reinforcements to inside corners and spine-ends, a very good example.
