First edition, first impression, setting copy used for the British edition; 8vo; textual amendments in pencil throughout, slight toning to leaves, literary agent's rubber stamp to front free endpaper; publisher's blue cloth-backed grey and white paper covered boards, gilt lettering to spine, some discolouration to spine ends, faint marks to boards, extremities slightly rubbed, with the unclipped first issue pictorial dustjacket priced $3.25, without the Newbery Medal to front panel, loss to spine at head and foot, some edge-wear, slight loss to corners, some dust-staining and toning to rear panel, overall a very good copy.

  2. First English edition, signed presentation inscription from the author to upper endpaper; 8vo (220 z 145 mm); publisher's boards, dust-jacket, spine sunned, light creasing to head and foot, minimal wear, otherwise very good.

  3. Large folio (55.5 x 38.5 cm); title with aquatint vignette, list of plates, introduction and 30 hand-coloured aquatint plates by R. Havell, T. Fielding, F.C. Lewis and others after Dodwell and Pomardi, mounted on card with printed captions on slips to verso as issued, accompanying text leaves in English and French; contemporary red half morocco, spine in seven compartments, morocco label to second, others richly gilt within framed borders, raised bands, marbled sides, all edges gilt, a fine copy.

  4. First edition, 12mo (18 x 11.5 cm); 64pp., presentation inscription in pencil to title-page, introduction leaf with illustration in black and white after Ekster, colour plate after Maria Vasil'eva and four plates in blue after Burliuk under the title 'Four Women'; publisher's printed wrappers, rubbed and slightly stained, spine chipped at extremities, upper cover splitting; fresh internally.

First collected edition; small folio (28.4 x 20 cm); title within woodcut border with the Queen's arms in top compartment and female figures with olive branches at sides, woodcut initials, black letter, double column, with the inserted leaf between CC5 and CC6, title cut to edge of image and laid in to new sheet, restoration to margins (occasionally grazing but not affecting text), light soiling, slight toning to leaves, scattered minor worming, lacking final blank; 20th-century burgundy morocco gilt, spine with 5 raised bands, spine lettered in gilt, inner dentelles gilt, all edges gilt, marbled endpapers, a handsome copy; [36], 88pp, 89-104 (columns), 105-1138, [2], 1139-1458pp.

First edition, second issue; 2 vols, 8vo; publisher's green, white and black printed wrappers, light wear to spine tips and corners, faint finger soiling to rear wrappers, one corner crease, with the stickers (chipped on vol.II) altering the price to '1200 Francs' affixed to the rear covers, a very good set.

  7. First edition; 4to (26 x 19.5 cm); 32pp. including title page, illustrations in colour throughout after Dobuzhsinky; original printed wrappers, right margin trimmed, some scattered staining, foot of each page slightly soiled, skilful reinforcement to spine otherwise a very good copy.

  8. Small 4to (24.5 x 19.8 cm); 4 illustration plates (including frontispiece) and one folding map (with a tear, professionally repaired without loss) unnumbered, some occasional staining, contemporary morocco, neatly rebacked, gilt borders, marbled endpapers, corners rubbed; ownership dedication and signature in brown ink to front endpaper, dated '20 Mars 1823'. Text in Hebrew and Judeo-Spanish. [5], 19 ll.

  9. First edition, number 30 of 200 copies on handmade paper, signed by Milne and Kenneth Grahame; 4to (235 x 190 mm); publisher's quarter blue cloth-backed boards, with paper label on upper board (spare one tipped-in at the end), printed dust-jacket, spine darkened with minor chipping to extremities, small, expert restorations to upper edge, minor shelf wear, otherwise a bright and clean copy in the scarce dust-jacket.

  10. First edition, presentation copy inscribed by the author; 8vo; light spotting to prelims and endpapers; publisher's pale sage cloth, black lettering to spine, boards lightly marked, with the buff dustjacket (supplied from another copy) printed in red, jacket slightly toned and chipped, otherwise a very good copy of a scarce work.
