Second edition, revised [vol I, vol II ýfirst]; 2 vols, 8vo, (22.5 x 15 cm); each vol with integral pouch to rear board containing folding diagrams, 20 and 29 respectively, numerous further diagrams and illustrations throughout both vols; publisher's brown cloth, rubbed and worn on extremities, a few marks but robust and internally, including folding maps, fine.

First edition. 7 vol. 4to (29 x 24 cm). Half titles, additional titles, with volumes I-IV and VII comprising 70 lithograph plates (including 7 large folding maps), numerous by Ciceri, several plates coloured, and 22 photographs (on 10 plates), with volume VI comprising 68 illustrative plates and one map, some wood engravings in text; traces of hand-writing offset to first title and some half-title, a tear to one large map, very occasional light spotting. Contemporary calf over marbled boards, spines in six compartments, raised bands, green and red morocco lettering pieces lettered in gilt; lightly rubbed.

'Atlas' volume, 4to; 15 pop-up colour plates with various overlays, each with accompanying letterpress; occasional spotting, several pages roughly with small resultant chips but only on extreme edge, not affecting images; publisher's beige cloth, upper cover lettered, paper-covered spine, splits, small loss to head and tail, generally a bit soiled, upper hinge split but holding, certainly used but in fair condition.

4to; 16 card pages, 8 colour pop-up illustrations with elaborate overlays of various steam and diesel motors seen in, amongst others, a steam train, the Wright Brothers' aeroplane, a locomotive train, etc, one of which folds out, toned, foxing and occasional soiling; publisher's green cloth boards, lacking spine, boards worn and scuffed.

First edition, second issue, 2 volumes, 8vo., viii, 411, [1], 32; viii, 486, [2] pp., with publisher's lists at the end of each vol., original green cloth gilt, illustrated throughout, tiny hole to spine vol. ii affecting the 's' of 'domestication', foxing to endpapers, a very good set.

First edition. 3 volumes, complete, numerous woodcut illustrations throughout, Fukuruto-ji, original covers, slightly worn, with printed title-slips, partly lacking, new stitching, occasional finger-marking, some staining to vol. 2, but generally in good condition, rare.

Second, enlarged edition, small folio, 34 (of 35) engraved plates including frontispiece portrait, 14 folding and 4 engraved vignettes, paper flaw to one corner, old ink ownership markings to blank ff. at ends (tabbed in), contemporary calf, rebacked to style, upper joint repaired.
