First trade edition, first impression; 4to (25.5 x 19.5 cm); 4 folding maps printed in red and black, 54 plates including portrait frontispiece, some very minor spotting to a couple of preliminary pages, bookplate ; publisher's brown b cloth gilt, spine faded; overall a very good copy.
