The only edition of a scarce work. 'In 1839 he met David Roberts in Egypt and travelled with him to Mt. Sinai and Petra. This work, dedicated to Roberts, is an account of that journey and of Kinnear's subsequent travels in Syria' (Blackmer).

First edition; 8vo (20.5 x 13 cm); contemporary half pebble calf, marbled boards, gilt lettering to spine in six compartments, boards a little rubbed, spine slightly faded, a very good copy; xii, errata slip, 348 pp.
