Francis Bedford (1815 - 1894) was an English photographer and one of the founders of the Royal Photographic Society. He was the first photographer to accompany a royal tour in 1862, when he was asked by Queen Victoria to travel with the Prince of Wales. His works can be found in the Royal Collection,
the Paul Getty Museum and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, among others.
4to, (246 x 192 mm). 48 albumen prints, each approximately 102 x 127 mm, each with printed title, plate number and inscription, text and plates mounted on guards. (A few imprints just shaved, some light browning), later brown half morocco with floral gilt decorations and title to spine.
