Over 100 Selected Trips with History and Pictures.
Harb Bijjani Press, Beirut, Lebanon 1960
This unusual travel guide was written by Bruce Chalmers (aka Condé), an officer, philatelist and royal pretender who was born in California and died in Tangier. He was also a general for the Royalist forces in Yemen. He now called himself H.S.H. Abdurraham B.A. de Bourbon, Prince of Conde claiming that his royal lineage had been recognized and "reinstated" by the Yemeni Royal Family. Despite serving bravely in the war, the Imam's forces collapsed in 1970, and Conde moved to Spain, and then to Morocco in 1980. He was a very interesting and romantic character. (Wikipedia).
The second edition has been greatly expanded from the first published 1955. It now contains over 100 trips ( previously only 60 trips) and has double the amount of pages.
Second edition. 8vo (20 x 15 cm), pp. xvi, 574, [2 index at rear], loose map 250 illustrations throughout in text, loose sketch map, previous owner's ink inscription on title-page; publisher's pictorial wrappers, worn and rubbed; overall a good solid copy.
