An attractive first edition of this rare agricultural treatise by the French naturalist Henry-Louis Duhamel du Monceau (1700-1782) on the preservation of grain. Illustrated with 12 folding engraved plates.

First edition; 8vo (17 x 10.5 cm); 12 folding copper-engraved plates, some creasing beyond the folds, paper flaw to one leaf, small stain to lower for-edge corner throughout, marbled endpapers; contemporary sprinkled calf, spine gilt compartments within raised bands, corners rubbed, minor wear to extremities, foot of spine chipped; xxviii, 294, [2]pp.
