Scrambles amongst the Alps in the Years 1860-69.
Murray, London 1893
This landmark of mountaineering literature is considered by many to be the most famous mountain travel book of the period, by the most famous mountaineer.
The de luxe definitive edition of the most famous of all mountaineering books. Whymper was obsessed with making the first ascent of the Matterhorn.
