T. E. Lawrence's Letters To H.S. Ede 1927-1935.

Written between 16 June 1927 and 5 April 1935, the letters represent Lawrence's part of a correspondence with Ede that initially focussed on Lawrence's writings. They also provide insight to his (as Thomas Edward Shaw) service in the ranks, 1922 - 1935, particularly his work with motor launches. Ede (b. 1895 d. 1990) a former curator at the Tate gallery.
Number 148 of 500 copies; tall 8vo (227 x 197 mm); with Foreword and Commentary by H. S. Ede, the occasional random spot but in the main bright; publisher's quarter blue morocco by Sangorski & Sutcliffe, spine in compartments with raised bands, gilt lettering direct, top edge gilt, others uncut, very slight bowing to upper board, otherwise a very good copy.
