Gordon placed the materials at Hills' disposal through the agency of his brother, Henry William Gordon, and it was he who assisted on questions of detail and who proof-read this work.

First edition, 8vo, xliv, 456 pp., 12 pages ads at end, photogravure portrait frontispiece, 1 plate, folding lithographed facsimile letter and folding map at the rear, a very good copy.
