A very good copy of this fragile publication. As the sales of the first print run had been slow to none, the title pages were replaced with 'second edition' / 'deuxième édition' to suggest the first edition had sold out to create further demand.
First edition, second issue with the title page citing the publisher's fictitious claim of 'second edition'; 4to; English and French title pages, 104 heliogravures of Ray's photographs and Rayographs, light age-toning; publisher's pictorial wrappers, white plastic ring-bound strip to spine, slight edge-wear, one break to the ring-bound strip without loss, minor soiling to rear wrapper, else very good.
