A very good copy of the first English edition,'Serving as a supplement to the Life of Catharine II'. As the title page indicates, the subject covered is broad but mainly focused on the court history: 'containing various anecdotes, collected during a residence of ten years in [the] capital. Together with remarks on the education of the grand-dukes, the manners of the ladies, and the religion of the people'.
