Weston (1861-1940), is regarded as the father of mountaineering in Japan. It is largely due to him that Japanese Alpine Club was created. Facsimile reprint of the first edition; 8vo; 27 photographic illustrations, 2 coloured folding maps, 8 text illustrations; publisher's original light blue cloth gilt, device to upper cover; a very good copy; xvi, 346pp.
