First English language edition of the memoirs of a German naval airship commander. Originally published in the same year under the title Zeppeline Gegen England. In the scarce and attractive dust jacket.

Baron Horst Treusch von Buttlar-Brandenfels (1888-1962) captained several Zeppelins during the First World War, including the first one to cross the English coast and the "Super Zeppelin" L30, the largest and fastest airship constructed up to that time. He participated in 19 raids on England and was the only airship officer decorated with the order Pour le Mérite. This volume recounts his full experiences of the war, beginning with his training in October, 1913, and ending with the scuttling of the fleet at the end of hostilities.
