First edition, first issue (not the subsequent slimmer second issue); thick 8vo (192 x 140 mm); colour frontispiece, 6 black and white illustrations, a few minor spots and browning, mostly to preliminary leaves to edge of text block, otherwise very bright; publisher's equally bright blue pictorial cloth, pictorial dust-jacket, priced 4/- to front flap, lightly marked to rear panel, spine extremities and corners chipped with small loss to head of spine, very faintly spotted and mild dust-soiling but all in all very good and most importantly, not restored.
