The complete ten-volume set of Besant's (1836-1901) illustrated history of London, comprising: Early London, Medieval London (vols I and II), London in the Time of the Tudors, London in the Time of the Stuarts, London in the Eighteenth Century, London in the Nineteenth Century, The City, London North of the Thames, and London South of the Thames.

10 volumes; 4to (28.5 x 23 cm); illustrated throughout with monochrome plates (including some full page), plans and drawings, occasional minor spotting; publisher's maroon cloth, gilt spine and front cover title, top edge gilt, minor rubbing. A very good set.
