Vasily Kamensky was a Russian Futurist poet, playwright, and artist as well as one of the first Russian aviators. He only decided to dedicate his life to poetry after a near fatal plane crash in Poland in 1912. David Burliuk managed to persuade him to return to literature and join Burliuk and Mayakovsky on their Futurist Tour of Russia.
