Satiric image of a Jewish soldier with female admirers, possibly courtesans, standing on the corner of Petticoat Lane. This print can be found in the collections of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and The British Museum.

George Cruikshank or Cruickshank (1792-1878) was a prolific British illustrator and caricaturist, born to an artistic family (his father Isaac and brother Isaac Robert were also caricaturists). Some works are signed by both George and Isaac Robert. Many of the Cruickshanks' caricatures were racist and antisemitic.

Hand-coloured etching; overall size: 31.5 x 22.5 cm; bottom edge trimmed, slightly affecting text.

USHMM 2016.184.475; The British Museum 1872,1012.4933.
