First edition, number 6 of an edition of 30, numbered in pencil and signed by Burroughs. This edition was produced by scanning pages from his notebooks and printing high-definition, textured Xerox copies in colour which were then pasted together to recreate the original leaves. Printed in an edition of only 30 by Claudia Katayanagi and Patrick R. Firpo in New York, it offers a rare perspective into the creative process of this vanguard of the Beat Generation, as the only edition or reproduction of his notebooks ever produced.Folio (329 x 216 mm), pp.[146] (on double leaves). Illustrated endpapers. Colour photocopies of Burroughs's scrapbook printed by Claudia Katayanagi and Patrick R. Firpo at Great White Way Kinetics, New York in January 1979. Original black half cloth, buckram-covered boards, photocopy label mounted on upper side; light shelfwear to bottom edges of boards. Numbered in pencil and signed by Burroughs in black pen on colophon label mounted on rear pastedown. Near-fine in a custom black chemise and slipcase by Devauchelle.
