Jacques-Nicolas Bellin (1703 – 21 March 1772) was a French hydrographer. In 1721, Bellin was appointed hydrographer of the Ministry of the Navy following the creation of the French hydrographic office and the Depot of the Navy's maps and plans. Member of the Marine Academy and the Royal Society of London.Copper engraved map, with folds as issued, sheet size: 25 cm x 34.2 cm. Small tear to lower margin.
