First Rackham trade edition; 4to (250 x 185 mm); illustrated with 8 tipped-in colour plates with captioned tissue-guards and numerous line drawings, slight age-toning to text block, otherwise near-fine; later full green calf, double-gilt panelled, red and blue lettering pieces to spine, remaining panels sumptuously gilt-tooled, gilt dentelles, marbled endpapers and all edges gilt, a little rubbed with some minor signs of wear, otherwise very good-plus.
