A fine copy of one of the best examples of a Soviet 'production book'. Dedicated to the oil industry of the Caspian Sea and the shock workers of Baku and Grozny. It also includes the rare loose poster praising them for meeting their production goals for the five-year plan in only two and a half years. Its large format and incredibly striking graphics make it highly sought after.

First edition, 4to (28.8 x 21.8 cm); illustrations in colour throughout, with the loose poster inserted; original printed wrappers, original staples replaced with string, a fine copy.
