First editions, first impressions; 3 vols, 8vo; ownership signature to front free endpaper of first vol., faint spotting to prelims of third vol., else unmarked internally; publisher's blue cloth, gilt lettering to spine (vols 1 and 3), silver lettering to spine (vol. 2), with the unclipped pictorial dust-jackets by R.F. Micklewright and John Rowland, spines and extremities slightly tanned, light dust-soiling to rear panels, slight rubbing to extremities, vol. 3 with small stain to rear panel and head of spine chipped, else very good.
