First edition, first issue and second issue respectively; 2 vols, 8vo; ownership inscription to front free endpaper of first issue, else unmarked internally; publisher's yellow and brown cloth respectively, black and gilt lettering to spines, first issue with the unclipped pictorial dust-jacket, spine slightly tanned, second issue with price-clipped dust-jacket, spine slightly faded, mild edge-wear, overall very good.
