A special edition of this seasonal play by one of the most influential Hollywood screenplay writers of all time, Ben Hecht (1893-1964), the writer behind the Broadway hit The Front Page (first staged in the same year, 1928), and who had six of his film screenplays nominated for Academy Awards, with two winning.
