Fourth edition of British Birds, fifth edition of Game Birds; 8 vols, 4to; hand-coloured frontispiece and 454 plates, contemporary bookplate of Thomas Aitken and pencilled gift inscriptions dated 1926, occasional light spotting to contents and more heavily to edges of the text blocks; original brown cloth blocked in gilt with birds designs to the upper boards, brown coated endpapers, spines rolled, some wear at the extremities, primarily the spine ends, a very good set.
