The 'stage-play edition' was issued to coincide with the hugely successful stage adaptation of Stoker's classic of horror (originally published in 1897) which took to the Broadway stage in 1927, and starred Bela Lugosi in his first major English-speaking role, with Edward Van Sloan as his nemesis Dr Van Helsing; both actors were to reprise these roles for the 1931 film version.

First stage-play edition; 8vo (19.5 x 13.5 cm); half-title, ads to rear, bookplate to front free endpaper recto, split to gutter-margin at front free endpaper and title, occasional light spotting; publisher's orange cloth, spine and upper cover lettered in black, spine slightly bleached, the ends and corners frayed with slight loss, lacking dust jacket; [2], ix, [1], 354, [2 ads]pp.
