Charles Brooke's famous account of Sarawak in Borneo. Brooke was the second of the 'white rajas of Sarawak', following on from the first raja, his uncle, Sir James, who has written the introduction to the book.

First edition. 2 vols, 8vo, xv, 373; ix, 344 pp., leaf of ads end vol. i., folding map, 10 wood-engraved plates, original green blind-stamped cloth gilt, with a figure in gilt on the upper boards, light wear upper cover vol 1, spine vol. ii slightly darkened, a very good copy.
