Lebanon. The building represents "le couvent des soeurs de la Charité à Beyrouth". Actually Louis de Clercq stood on its rooftop and took his 360 degrees panorama of this city. The building was built outside the walls of Beirut and was facing one of the seven gates of the city "Bab el Derkeh".
In our days, it has been replaced by "Al Azarieh building", built in the 1950's and is now facing the maronite "St Georges Cathedral", seen in this 1930's postcard. It lies in "Emir Béchir" street in the very heart of downtown Beirut.

Albumen print from paper negative. Good tonal range and in very good condition.
