Four separate pamphlets:

The first reproduces several important clauses and acts which refer to Muhammad Ali Khan Wallajah (1717-1795), the Nawab of the Carnatic, in regards to his debt to the East India Company and relationship with Thuljaji Bhonsle (1738–1787), Rajah of Thanjavur (Tanjore), following the Second Anglo-Mysore War.

The second contains ten letters referring to the failed Fox-North East India Bill and the concerns around giving control of the vast wealth and territory of India to a single minister, prior to the establishment of the Board of Control.

The third concerns itself with the constitutional impact of the Fox-North Bill and the potential ramifications of bringing control of India under government administration, forseeing many of the complications around the Board of Control and British interest in government rule of so large a territory.

The fourth concerns itself with the shipwreck of the Grosvenor in 1782, an East-India Company vessel, off the coast of South Africa with the loss of cargo valued at £75,000 (around £16,000,000 today) and the death or fleeing of nearly all 150 souls on board. Its printing in 1785 was probably a pointed reminder at the careless loss of India's wealth by the East India Company at the time of the new Charter.
