First American edition, first printing (with Scribner's seal and 'A' on the copyright page); 8vo; publisher's black cloth, titles to upper board and spine gilt, with the unclipped second state dustjacket with orange lettering on spine panel, priced $3.00 on front flap; an excellent copy in the dustjacket with only minor rubbing to extremities.
