According to Greene in his introduction to the Collected Edition of Stamboul Train, this edition had to be withdrawn from publication because of a threatened libel action and, as such, is quite uncommon.

First edition, first impression; 8vo; b&w frontispiece, contemporary ownership signature to half-title, scattered light foxing, heavier to prelims; publisher's light olive cloth, spine stamped and lettered in brown, publisher's device in brown to rear cover, russet topstain, map endpapers, spine tanned and gently cocked, top corners lightly bumped, a couple of tiny marks to rear cover, edges spotted, lacking dustjacket; a very good copy.
