C.E. Brock originally illustrated Pride and Prejudice for Macmillan in 1895, with black and white line drawings. He then collaborated with his brother H.M. Brock for a set originally published by Dent in 1898.
Mixed editions; 10 vols, small 8vo; frontispiece to each volume, further 51 colour plates, 'Emma' vols with armorial bookplates and related ownership inscriptions, scattered light spotting; publisher's pale blue cloth, dark blue detailing and gilt lettering, top edges gilt, minor darkening to spines, slight bumping to extremities, else an attractive set.
