A finely bound collection of Keats' works published by Gowans & Gray - a small and distinctive Scottish publishing house founded in Glasgow in the mid-19th century.

Alongside Keats' poetry, this set also contains two volumes of the poet's letters, including an extensive record of his correspondence with Fanny Brawne in the second volume.

A very fine set.

First editions thus; 5 volumes, small 8vo (17.5 x 11.5 cm); each volume with decorated typographical title-page coloured in red and black, marbled endpapers; rebound in half green calf on marbled boards, spine in six compartments with gilt floral tooling, gilt red morocco lettering piece, slightly rubbed gilt black morocco lettering piece, sunned spine, top edge gilt, board edges slightly rubbed, a very good set; [xlix], 208, [ix], 243, [ix], 289, [xxxiv], 210, [x], 26p pp.
