This scarce first edition contains a detailed coloured map of Vienna and covers a large part of Hungary. This volume describes conditions after the dissolution of the German Confederation (established in 1815 by the Congress of Vienna in 1866. Town plans include Trieste, Vienna, Prague and Cracow. Endpapers dated "May 1868".First edition. xviii, 395pp, 11 maps, 16 plans, ink signature of previous owner on front pastedown, some spotting throughout, the plan of Vienna with 2 cm tear at corner( no loss of image); publisher's old type red cloth, partly split along on the spine, gilt lettered; otherwise a very good copy.
