A really fascinating edition of this mighty text being the final version of the first re-issue (1938) of the first English language version of Capital (Swan Sonnenschein 1889) and as such the only one to have been seen through the press by Engels. For this edition the appendices and footnotes were enlarged and corrected to enable this printing to be the definitive UK publication of the original English text. It is deeply uncommon in this condition.

First edition thus, first impression, 8vo; publisher's blue cloth, titles to spine in red, red topstain, with the dust jacket. Mild, partial browning to the endpapers, name to front pastedown, spine a trifle faded through the dust jacket, a near-fine copy in the little frayed and rubbed, but rather attractive dust jacket.
