This is a unusual collection of works illustrated by Lionel Edwards. Two of the items are signed limited editions with the colour plates all signed in pencil. Lionel Edwards was a British artist who specialised in painting horses and field sports. He worked for Country Life, The Sphere and the Graphic and also provided illustrations for Black Beauty and Lorna Doone. He is best known for his hunting scenes and these illustrations are excellent examples of his skill and artistry in horse painting. These three works all cover British field sports of hunting, fishing, shooting and horse racing.3 vols.
