fine mughal portraiture

A very luxuriously displayed bespoke presentation portfolio of exquisitely painted portrait miniatures of 21 Persian and Mughal Rulers. These paintings are all on bone and part of a series that was undoubtedly commissioned at great expense at the time of production. The quality of these paintings are exquisite and evidently crafted by a master miniaturist, with great attention to detail in their portrayal of the intricate brocade fabrics and delicately painted jewels adorning each of the figures in question.

The contemporary list provided in the case names the portraits included as:

2. Baber, 1526
